I have a few questions which maybe you or other kind souls on here might be able to answer. I've successfully re-installed Spyder3Pro and have used it to re-profile my monitor. I wonder if it's worth removing the programme from my computer and reinstalling it (I have all my stuff backed up to two external hard drives)?īefore I rush out and buy a new Spyder5 Pro (£113.67 post paid on Amazon) I wonder if anyone has anything to add here that might enable me to squeeze a few more uses out of my existing device? I've emailed Datacolor and sent them a screen print of the Activation page (where the 'Next' button led nowhere) but so far I've heard nothing in reply.

I have actually used it in the past with my current OS, so I know I have the correct driver installed for 8.1 圆4bit. I've located a 2014 email from Datacolor in which they sent me the license code for my 'activated product' and advised me to keep the info in a safe place in case I ever wanted to reinstall the software on my computer.Ī few months ago I had occasion to reinstall my Windows OS (8.1 圆4bit) and this is the first time I've attempted to use my Spyder since then. I am fully aware that Datacolor no longer supports this earlier version of Spyder, but I was under the impression that, assuming one has a legally purchased copy of the software (I have) and access to the license code (yes to that too) it should be possible to proceed with its use. This I did, but when the screen headed 'Datacolor Spyder3Pro Activation' appeared, it didn't respond when I clicked the 'Next' button. monitor turned on for a good half hour so it's nice and warm, no direct light falling on the screen, plug in Spyder3 Pro before launching programme. It's been a while since I calibrated/re-profiled my PC monitor, so I thought it was about time to revisit the process.
